50 Cent denies rape and abuse allegations

Rapper 50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson, has angrily refuted claims made by his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy of violence and rape.

50 Cent denies rape and abuse allegations

The charges arose from a lawsuit that involved Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, a fellow artist.

Jackson denied Joy's allegations in a statement provided to multiple media sites via his agent, attributing them to his desire for exclusive custody of their 12-year-old son, Sire. In order to underscore his commitment to his kid's security and welfare, he said, "My son Sire is my main priority, and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time."

Following Joy's inclusion in a $30 million lawsuit that purportedly involved her involvement in a sex trafficking operation headed by Sean "Diddy" Combs, the public debate intensified. Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, a former employee of Combs, filed a complaint accusing Combs of drugging, sexually harassing, and threatening.

Joy responded to the accusations by stating that she was upset by the untrue statements and that she planned to take legal action against Jones and his attorney.

Jackson addressed Joy's participation in the case and alluded to possible financial ties between Joy and Combs in an Instagram post.

Federal raids on Combs' houses as part of an investigation into sex trafficking coincide with the ongoing feud; Combs' lawyer has called the raids "baseless" and promised to clear his client's name.
