48 Eye MMMDC'S Positions In Ahafo Region
The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Kwabena Owusu Sekyere pointed out that the aspirants had been advised to accept the outcome of the exercise in good faith and support those that President Nana Akufo-Addo would appoint as Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region.

The vetting of prospective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Ahafo Region began today in Goaso.
In all, about 48 members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are vying for the posts in the 6 districts of the region.
About 14 aspiring MMDCEs in 2 districts of the region were vetted today, and the rest would also be vetted Friday and Saturday.
In the Asunafo North Municipality, as many as 9 persons, including James Koduah Tweneboah, constituency Secretary of the party and Jones Afriyie Anto, presiding Members (PM)are all vying for the various posts.
Asunafo South had 11 persons, Asunafo North9, Asutifi South 6 including Regional youth Organizer, Adu Boateng Jnr David, Asutifi North, 8, Tano North, 7, andTano South7.
The Ahafo Regional Chairman of the NPP Kwabena Owusu Sekyere indicated that after the vetting, the list of the aspirants would be presented to the General Secretary of the party for onward submission to the Local Government Minister and the President.
