32 Year Old Farmer Remanded One Month Into Police Custody For Murdering His Brother

The Wenchi Magistrate Court Presided over by a relieving Magistrate, His Lordship Kojo Frimpong Manso has remanded 32 year old farmer Alhassan Duong one month into police custody for beheaded his brother Peter Duong at Amoanyi near Brohani in the Tain District of the Bono Region.

32 Year Old Farmer Remanded One Month Into Police Custody For Murdering His Brother

The Wenchi Magistrate Court Presided over by a relieving Magistrate, His Lordship Kojo Frimpong Manso has remanded 32-year-old farmer Alhassan Duong one month into police custody for beheading his brother Peter Duong at Amoanyi near Brohani in the Tain District of the Bono Region.

Alhassan Duong beheaded the brother and buried him on his farm.

Chief Inspector Victor Samadzi told the court that the complainant Amidu Asuo age 57 is a farmer and a native of Brohani in the Tain District of the Bono Region.

Suspect Alhassan Duong age 32 is also a farmer and lives at Amoanyi a village near Brohani with his biological brother Peter Duong age 22 now deceased.

According to the police prosecutor, the complainant gave both suspects and the deceased a portion of land for the plantation of cashew at Amoanyi near Brohani.

Since January 2022, the complainant has been seeing the suspect in town (Brohani) without the deceased whom he usually comes to town with Chief Inspector Victor Samadzi added.

However, the complainant who also visits them at their farm hat went to the farm to verify the where about the deceased brother but the suspect stated that, his brother has traveled.

The prosecution further explained that on 4th April 2022 complainant lured the suspect to the police station and handed him over to the police on suspicion that, the suspect is hiding something from him touching on where his brother (Peter Duong).

On 14th April 2022 information was received indicating that a skull has been found under the hat on the farm, of the suspect (Alhassan Duong) prosecution added.

Chief Inspector Victor Samadzi further explained that police on receipt of the information together with the suspect proceeded to the scene where the suspect led to the retrieved of a skull.

The suspect also led police to the spot where he buried his deceased brother the Chief Inspector noted.

He finally told the court that investigations revealed that, the suspect beheaded the brother and buried him.

Investigations are still going on as efforts are being made to get the remains of Peter Duong exhumed for autopsy suspect was arraigned before you to be remanded as investigations are ongoing Chief Inspector Victor Samadzi pleaded with the court.

His plea was granted by the court and the suspect was remanded one month into police custody to reappear in court on 18th May 2022.

The court ordered that the remains of Peter Duong be exhumed for autopsy.
