The 2022 Budget presented by the Finance Minister of Ghana, Ken Ofori Atta last week has been rejected by parliament on Friday, November 26, 2021.

This was revealed after the Speaker of Ghana's Parliament was forced to suspend sitting for 30 minutes after the Majority caucus "abandoned" the house for some hours.

Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin said the house needed to be suspended for 30 minutes in order to wait for the majority to join members for a full house.

The Speaker however has revealed he is even ignorant about the absence of the Majority members, and he also denied claims of his knowledge about any Majority  Caucus meeting.

More to come...
