Tottenham Hotspurs has recorded a positive case of coronavirus at their training center on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

The club confirmed via its official page after the Premier League updated them following testing ahead of the recommencement of the Premier League on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

“We have been informed by the Premier League that we have received one positive test for COVID-19 following the latest round of testing at our Training Centre,” the statement said.

The asymptomatic patient’s name was withheld and according to the release, he will be isolated for seven days before further testing.

“Due to medical confidentiality, the individual’s name will not be disclosed.

“They are currently asymptomatic and will now self-isolate for seven days, in line with Premier League protocol, before undergoing further testing,” it revealed.

The statement further added that “we shall continue to strictly adhere to the Premier League’s Return to Training protocol, which ensures our Training Centre remains a safe and virus-free working environment.”
