The Premier League has finally recorded a zero number of COVID-19 cases in its fourth round of testing.

1130 players and club staff have been tested so far and none according to the release on Saturday, May 30 have been infected with the virus.

“The Premier League can today confirm that on Thursday 28 May and Friday 29 May 1130 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, zero have tested positive,” the statement said.

June 17 is the date revealed for the recommencement of the current PL season after it was obstructed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Aston Villa and vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal were suspended an would be honored on Wednesday, June 17 before a full round of fixtures begins on June 20.

Shareholders are putting up measures for the safety of the competition after close contact training was permitted on Tuesday with full training soon to be allowed.

According to the managers of the most influential league, it “is providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency.”

“No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public after each round of testing,” it added.
