The host kept knocking at the door of Bayern but Neuer was left once again to make a great save. Ndombele slided the ball through for Son again and the forward attempted to wrap his foot around the ball to pick out the far corner. The German keeper got down low to his left and kept the visitors in the game.

Son put Spurs in the lead in the 12-minute. Tolisso bestowed possession upon Sissoko, who slided the ball through for Son. The Spurs forward struck the ball across Neuer, who got a hand to the ball, but could not keep it out.

Spurs' lead lasted for three minutes before Bayern annulled the hosts hopes.

Vertonghen's clearance landed at the feet of Kimmich, who turned past Ndombele, before firing the ball into the bottom corner from 25 yards. Lloris had absolutely no chance.

Tottenham kept pushing the visitors to restore the lead. Inspirational Son was all over the pitch terrorizing Bayern’s defense. The South Korean caught inside onto his right foot before curling the ball towards the far corner. There was not enough power on the effort yet Neuer got across to make a comfortable save. Spurs kept bashing the visitors for the leakage. Kane spread the play to Aurier, who did brilliantly to pull the ball back for Ndombele. The midfielder hit his shot first time but Neuer got a strong hand to the ball to push it away to safety.

Lewandowski finally fired to silence the home side just before the break.

The Poland international started it all off with a brilliant piece of skill. He flicked the ball over Vertonghen before lifting it into the Spurs box. The hosts failed to clear their lines as the ball ricocheted around in the penalty area. It eventually fell to Lewandowski, who knew exactly where the goal was. With a perfect turn, he knob with his right foot, beating Lloris and picking out the far corner from just inside the penalty area.

Bayern effected a change after the break.  Thiago replaced Alaba, which meant that Kimmich returned to right back, while Pavard took over the left-back role.

Gnabry scored a third in the 53-minute for Bayern. The former Arsenal man burst past Aurier before cutting inside Alderweireld and powered the ball emphatically into the bottom corner. He scored his second and Bayern’s forth two minutes later after thumbing the ball across Lloris into the bottom corner.

Harry Kane put home Spurs second through a penalty in the 61-minute.

Rose's foot was high as he attempted to win the ball in the area but Coman, who was also trying to win the ball, kicked the bottom of  the full-back's boot. The referee pointed to the spot but VAR was called for a check up. The penalty was confirmed and Kane pulled a goal back.

Eriksen was brought in for Ndombele in the 66-minute before Gnabry completed his hat trick in the 83-minute.

Thiago Alcántara's searching long ball evaded Aurier and allowed the receptive Gnabry to rampage into the penalty area. He deceived a couple of backtracking defenders and wrong-footed Lloris with a third calm finish.

Lewandowski made it worse for Spurs by putting in the sixth after Alderweireld gifted possession to the visitors and in the blink of an eye, the ball is in the back of the net. Coutinho flicked the ball to Lewandowski, who side footed the ball into the bottom corner.

Gnabry hammered the ball past Lloris and into the far corner for Bayern’s seventh to end the game.
