Ghanaian gospel artiste, Joe Mettle, has admonished his colleagues to find other means of income as music alone cannot solely provide all their needs.

According to Joe Mettle, musicians must learn to understand the landscape because music won't put food on the table all the time. He has advised his colleagues to explore other forms of income especially during these times when shows are not forthcoming.

Joe pleaded to fellow musicians not to be naive about their careers because "one road does not lead into the forest".

“I would say other streams of income. I won’t say explore other jobs because music is the main thing you’re doing. Whatever comes into your hands find other means of income. Spread yourself there are different streams, irrespective of music and everything will be working for you," he said this while speaking in an interview on Touch of Class on Class91.3FM on Wednesday, 15 July 2020.

"I like what someone told me, if it’s only 24hours you work, there’s a tendency that you might be poor one day. Borrow other times, means, borrow other people’s time. Create things for people to be able to do. Make sure that whilst you’re sleeping there’s something else working for you.”

The 'Bo no ni' hitmaker concluded that musicians are entrepreneurs and should act like such by sourcing for other means of income.
