Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah commended the Police for their immense contribution to help enforce sanity in the Region.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh is visiting the Savannah region for the first time as the head of the Police Service.

He called on the Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah, at his office at Damango and during their interaction, the Honourable Minister commended the conduct of Police Officers in the region and praised their hard work so far.

 

 

He appealed for more officers to be posted to support law enforcement.

IGP expressed gratitude to the Regional Minister and his team for their backing to maintain law and order and called for much assistance and collaboration for law enforcement.

He also commended the Regional Security Council for capturing culprits involved in the murder of the 90-year-old woman who was alleged as a 'witch'.

 

 

 "We also appreciate the role played by the Regional Security Council in arresting suspects in the Kafalba incident where 90-year old Madam Akua Denteh was beaten to death," said IGP Oppong-Boanuh.
