35 Kuwait Deportees to Ghana Test Positive for Coronavirus

35 of the 231 Ghanaians who were deported from Kuwait have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

This was confirmed by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in its recent covid-19 case count update.

The deportees were reportedly tested for the virulent disease upon arrival to the country last Saturday, 23rd May 2020.

They were also told to mandatorily quarantine for 14 days, as a precautionary measure to prevent the “import and spread” of the disease.

Meanwhile the latest update from the GHS also indicates that, Ghana's COVID-19 case count stands at 7,881.

The number of recoveries has increased to 2,841 with 36 deaths.
