Soiree News 24 reported on Friday, February 19, 2021, that more than 23 houses were completely burnt at Yong Dakpemyili, a community in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region of Ghana.

The calamity occurred on Thursday, February 18, 2021 evening over a chieftaincy dispute.

The Yong Dakpemyili community became a ghost town after the natives had fled over the fear of being killed in the chieftaincy conflict.

The Northern Regional police command however called on the fugitives to return home for full security protection.

Today, Soiree News can confirm that most of the escapees have returned back to their various homes to start life again.

However, a couple of them are still in their hideouts.
