Chris Wilder is determined to bring Liverpool kid, Rhian Brewster to Bramall Lane following his side’s lack of conversion upfront in the Premier League.

The Blades are yet to win a game in the new season and have been sluggish since the restart, losing a chance to play in Europe in the recent campaign.

The Sun reports that a bid of £23m has been offered for the English international; £18m plus a further £5m in extras for the 20-year-old as they also seek to bring Daniel Sturridge to strengthen their squad.

The U-21 player scored was impressive in the Reds pre-season, scoring three goals after ending his loan spell with Swansea City.

Crystal Palace were absorbed in hiring the services of the young player but the buyback clause to be included in the player’s contract seems to put out pursuit leaving Sheffield United to chase for the Liverpool asset, having increased their bids in the past few days and shown their commitment to staying up.

Speaking of his future in August, the youngster told The Beautiful Game podcast: "Ultimately, I want to be at Liverpool next season.

"I want to be fighting for a spot to play. Who is not going to want to play at the home of the champions?

"I don’t really want to go on loan, but if that’s the best thing for me to do, to go away and get more game time, then that’s what I’m going to do."

The forward missed the Reds penalty kick in the Community Shield game which conferred Arsenal the trophy.
