Akwaboah has added his voice to the Cecilia Marfo-Joyce Blessing saga.

The singer and songwriter stated that he is in no position to judge the controversial prophetess because her actions and words are between herself and God.

By saying this, he now joins the minority, alongside Derrick Kobina Bonney, well known as DKB, who have been subtly defending the prophetess from the barrage of criticisms she has been receiving since Friday.

Cecilia Marfo had climbed the stage at the Unity Group of Companies annual Thanks Giving Service on Friday in Kumasi to take the microphone from artiste, Joyce Blessing stating that she had been sent by God to tell Joyce Blessing to return to her failed marriage.

“My daughter, if you will listen to me, go back and take your marriage. I called you with love and so you should know the life you have is not yours."

"I’ve made you a queen so listen to me and go back to your husband. I’ve sent you already; lady, go and take your husband, my spirit is using you,” She said on stage.

Akwaboah explained his point of view in an interview with MzGee on Simply Showbiz.

"When God called her, I wasn’t around so I can’t say I don’t believe in everything that she says. At the end of the day, we will know who was a Christian, a true prophet among others as the Bible says. I can never say I doubt what she said but my point is, she should have communicated it well," he said.

DKB, in her defence, stated that Cecilia Marfo cannot be faulted for her actions because she was directed by the Holy Spirit.

According to him, the Holy Spirit doesn’t care about someone’s image or brand when the person does not heed to him.

“The holy spirit doesn’t care about your image or brand or embarrassment when you don’t heed to him. Canal eyes will see this issue as public harassment, true believers will take a lesson from it to avoid the wrath of the Holy Spirit."

“If indeed you want to tell me trash for what I’ve written, please think twice, I’m the majority speaker at Zoomlion. The ways of the spirit are not the ways of the physical,” he opined.
