Wenchi NPP Elects New Leaders

The Wenchi chapter of the New Patriotic Party on Thursday held its constituency executives elections to elect constituency executives to steer the affairs of the party in the next four years. Some incumbent constituency executives were shown the exit by the delegates in the crucial contest.

The Wenchi chapter of the New Patriotic Party on Thursday held its constituency executives elections to elect constituency executives to steer the affairs of the party in the next four years.

Some incumbent constituency executives were shown the exit by the delegates in the crucial contest.


The incumbent executives who were been shown exit are Sarbeng Kwaku Paul and Asamoah Comfort.

A total of 731 delegates cast their ballots for 34 aspirants who contested various positions.

Neither spoiled nor rejected ballots were recorded at the end of the polls.

Four persons contested for the chairmanship position. Mr. Ali Awudu popularly known as Bojoo polled 317  and was declared the winner by the returning officer of the Electoral Commission.

The incumbent constituency secretary Sarbeng Kwaku Paul lost his seat to Suwari Ibrahim Abdul Rahman while Kyeremmaa Milicent beat the incumbent Women's Organizer Asamoah Comfort.

The incumbent 2nd Vice Chairman Ebenezer Kwadwo Damoah Gyan and Assistant Constituency Secretary, Amos Osei Kofi retained their positions.

The following personalities emerge in the rest of the positions.

Mooro Karim emerged as 1st Vice Chairman, Gyasi Emmanuel as Treasurer, Victor Owusu Ansah crowns with the constituency Organizer, Sarfo Richmond wins the Youth Organizer Yakubu Dauda was also declared the winner for the NASARA Coordinator position respectively.
