A young Ghananian entrepreneur living in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Mr Louis Ashley, popularly known as Obama, has debunked wide spread allegations to the effect he has been involving in land guard activities within the municipality.
Consequently, Mr Obama refuted that allegations circulating that he is a body guard of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Weija Gbawe Constituency, Mrs Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah.
He pointed out that "The only link between the Member Parliament and I is that, am patriotic youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and residents of Weija-Gbawe.
In a press release dated Friday November 25, 2022 copied to Soreenews.com, Mr. Obama explained that, as a recognized youth leader and entrepreneur he will be the last person to encourage illegal activities within the area.
"My attention has been drawn to a publication by some media outlets and online portals alleging that I have led a group of land-guards to terrorise the people of Gbawe Hill and also extort monies from them. I want to state that,the publications are false, malicious without fact and lacks accuracy," he stated.
According to him, on the fateful day, " l have received a distress call from one of the youth that there is a sort of commotion happening just about 500 meters away from his house.
He explained that "Upon reaching the scene, I realized that the tension was high,so I decided to help calm the situation.
He noted that the cause of the process a dog from a house attacked and picked a stone to hit it.
"That was when I was rather attacked by the owners of dog ,hitting me shovel of which I got wounded during attacked.
"I have never met the Head pastor of Christ Fishers Men Ministry let alone to launch an attack on him," he said.
He pointed out that he reported the issue to the Lafa police where I was given a police medical forms to visit the hospital.
He emphasized that "I am a resident of Gbawe top Hill,a member of the Landlords Association and a respectable youth leader from a Royal family of Weija.'
He further stressed that "As a royal ,it is bestowed on me to ensure the people live in peace and harmony, adding that "I am a proud poultry farmer and Philanthropist and not a land guard.'
