The President for the Ghana Journalist Association Dr. Affail Monney has said, issues bothering Ghanaian journalist are many as they solve challenges facing others but when it comes to dealing with internal issues, it becomes problematic.

The President of the Ghana Journalist Association Dr. Affail Monney has said, issues bothering Ghanaian journalists are many as they solve challenges facing others but when it comes to dealing with internal issues, it becomes problematic.


He was speaking on Ark in the Morning monitored by Soiree News on the issues concerning the upcoming Association’s elections, court issues, and matters arising, which was ruled by the Court to settle it out of court.
Dr. Monney added that though Journalists are known for bashing people and the contribution of journalists in nation-building is enormous but notwithstanding as a human institution there must be some misunderstanding in one way or the other.
But he was hopeful the Elections committee will do the needful and make sure competent leaders are elected for the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA).
The President of the Ghana Journalist Association further called on practicing journalists to criticize to build not to criticize to destroy when things are going wrong and speak to issues by crediting those who disserve with no partiality.

Mr. Affail Monney’s engagement at Ark FM studio is as part of the Association’s visit to the Bono Region to coffer an honorary membership Award on the MCE for Dormaa East, Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang.
Roland Affail Monney, President of the JGA led a high-powered delegation of the Association, including the Bono Regional Chairman, Larry Paa Kwesi Moses, on Monday, January 31, 2022, to Wamfie, capital of the Dormaa East district to confer the Honorary JGA Membership on the highly respected DCE
This is in recognition of Mr. Agyeman’s contributions in the promotion of media freedom and also being “a veritable friend of journalists in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions over the years
