We Have Been Prevented By NPP Bono Regional  Hierarchies Not to Meet  President Akufo-Addo! Bono Regional NPP Constituency Chairmen Drop Bombshell
New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairmen for the twelve (12) constituencies in the Bono Region have made some damming revelations about the bad practices which are ongoing within the grassroot levels of the NPP in the constituencies, which situation has created deep cracks within the ranks and files of the party in the region.

The growing phenomenon has also destroyed the structures of the NPP in the constituencies which has also made the grassroot members of the governing party struggle to survive.

The constituency Chairmen who have broken the silence over the situation stated categorically that some top hierarchies of the NPP in the region have prevented them from meeting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo to inform him about issues that were affecting the supporters and members of the NPP in the grassroot levels in the region.

They pointed out that the top hierarchies of the NPP ostensibly prevented them (constituency Chairmen) not to meet the President to share the matters which were seriously affecting many of the grassroot members and supporters of the party because they (top hierarchies) feared they would be exposed of their bad practices.
The leader of the aggrieved constituency Chairmen in the person of the Dormaa West NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Kwame Owusu who made these statements in an interview with Soireenews.com today Monday May 2, 2022 via telephone call.
He complained about how destructive and divisive the act exhibited by top hierarchies was breaking the party's base, therefore, derailing it from the agenda of breaking the eight.
"The NPP's core base in the twelve constituencies in the Bono Region is really weak that is why we want to meet with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and allay these challenges before him and will help find lasting solutions," Mr. Owusu on behalf of the Bono Regional Constituency Chairmen, " revealed.
Mr. Owusu who was re-elected chairman in the just ended NPP Constituency executive elections underscored the essence of their meeting with the president as good intentions.
He added that although President Akufo-Addo has left with two years to exit from the political power, "we see it as very important for him to know our grievances so that he may find solutions to protect and consolidate the NPP core base in the constituencies, which would be good for the one who is elected flag-bearer of the NPP for 2024 general elections."
"Though we know the president will not contest again but he must ensure that the core basis of the party is made strong and formidable,", the chairman added.
But, Mr. Owusu cried out that some hierarchies within the Bono Region would have non of that.
According to him, there is discrimination against the NPP members who are not educated and hence are not recommended for appointments.
"I want to state on authority that when there is any dirty job to be done in the party, they the educated risk their lives in that regard but when there exists any juicy appointment, they are left out. "We risk our lives in rain, muddy conditions, in dark, in the bushes, and anywhere for the love of the NPP but we don't have opportunities like that. And we are neglected," NPP Dormaa West Chairman disclosed.
He said sometimes, they joined forces to work for a particular person in the party, yet when they are offered the opportunity, they don't recognize their efforts.
The chairman added that they even wrote a series of letters to the office of the Bono Regional Minister to see the president but the regional minister never allowed them.
"I bought Stanbic types of car for the NPP but by the time, the party won the election, the car got damaged.
He said anytime the president is making appointments, he must consult with hardworking but seen as uneducated members of the NPP so that they could make recommendations.
To this end re-elected NPP Chairman for Dormaa West Constituency in the Bono Region, Mr. Kwame Owusu called on President Akufo-Addo to consider appointing him and some hardworking foot-soldiers from the constituency to serve in his government due to their enormous contribution to the electoral fortunes of the NPP.
According to Mr. Owusu, although he has a low level of education, he believes that it is the time for President Akufo-Addo to seriously consider him and some influential and hardworking party faithfuls and footsoldiers from the constituency for appointment to serve in his government.
Mr. Owusu who is a farmer insisted that, even though the NPP parliamentary candidate could not win the seat in the 2020 general elections, the votes garnered were substantial enough to attract appointments to encourage the grassroots members of the NPP in the area to continue to fight for the party.

He stressed that he would ensure that the current NPP government increase the percentage of NPP in Dormaa West to win the seat from the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) in the 2024 showdown and called on the members of the party to endeavor to elect the parliamentary candidate who is selfless personality.

The Dormaa West Constituency Chairman believes that the constituency has been neglected over the years and that he (Kwame Owusu) and other notable personalities should be given appointments to encourage the teeming youth of the party.
