Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, a singer from Ghana better known by his stage name Wanlov the Kubolor, has discussed how being barefoot has benefited him.

Wanlov stated in an interview with Sammy Kay that he has been the target of wicked individuals because of his voiceferous character. He added that because of his ongoing criticism of politicians and their involvement in unethical practices, he frequently faces spiritual conflicts from others.
