UPDATE: One week after the Appiatse Explosion; There wasn't any Operational School at Appiatse - Nadmo Debunk Claims

It was a heartbreaking moment on Thursday 20th January 2022 at Appiatse when scores were recorded dead after a dynamite explosion.

It could be recalled that Ghanaians were told the driver of the exploded vehicle had to raise an alarm for the students who was in classrooms in the community to run for their lives, however, nadmo has to debunk such claims says, the school building isn't operational.


The school building in the Appiatse was built by a mining company to train some Individuals in Vocational skills year's ago, the building has been vacant since the the company left.

Arrangements are being made to ensure all school children at Appiatse return to the classroom.

Also reaction of the displaced is expected to be done today.

Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea Huni Valley, Isaac Dasmani says, measures are In place to ease hardship on the residents.

Meanwhile, mass one week funeral celebration is ongoing to mourn the departed souls.


The deputy NADMO coordinator Louis Afful is worried over tension created by lead Individuals on the Appiatse Explosion.


He is therefore appealing to the lead individuals Involved to come out with the gospel truth "only" to assist the security to ascertain concrete evidence to curb unforeseen occurrences.
