Sevilla defender, Jules Kounde is on top of Manchester United’s January transfer plans.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still concerned with who can partner Harry Maguire in defense, having already conceded 11 goals in three matches.

Manchester United sees the French player as the ideal center back to solve the leaky problem following Pep Guardiola’s earlier interest.

The Spaniard had his €55m for the French professional footballer rejected as Sevilla looked forward to a 90m euros before Ruben Diaz was acquired from Benfica for £65m.

The Red Devils managed to acquire Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles, and Facundo Pellistri on deadline day in addition to Donny van de Beek after their move for Jadon Sancho failed.

Kounde, who only moved to Sevilla in 2019 from Bordeaux for around £22million was on the radar of Madrid and Barcelona but were hindered by his price tag.

Kounde starred for Sevilla last season playing 40 times in all competitions including in their Europa League final win over Inter Milan.

His arrival means the Premier League team must offload a few defenders - Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Victor Lindelof, or Eric Bailey.
