"To develop Ghana, we must get back to the basis"-Mr. Afful

A leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Tain district of the Bono Region, Mr. Afful Manu Benjamin has hinted that the country must revert to the basics if Ghana must develop.

The basics, according to him, form part of the building blocks of every promising economy.
Mr. Afful who doubles as the Proprietor of Star of Africa Montessori Academy(SAMA) maintained that no country develops without skilled labor calling for the need to place a premium on equipping interested individuals.

He noted that the economy could pick up if Technical and Vocational Education Training(TVET) was given the utmost paramountcy.

According to Mr. Afful, the practice of Ghanaian leaders combing everywhere for loans to solve challenges created by themselves could be a thing of the past if they resolve to train the skills of interested youth across the country.

"What Ghana needs is a serious workforce which is well-skilled and interested in using their skills to revive the economy", he said.

"The workforce should have heightened interest in reviving the Ghanaian economy," he said.

"Development of a country should be backed by policies to sustain the gains and the leaders must be ready to solve any challenge that would come up", he said.

He added that the country has all it would take to transform the country's economic market.

In an interview with  Tain FM Anopa Nkomo, the Proprietor hinted that rating education on the urgent need for Technical and Vocational skills would help develop the economy.
should be channeled towards training human resources and that would improve focus efforts to bring the country's economic growth track.

skilled labor policies to drive the change, hence the need to embrace the TVET initiative.

Mr. Afful pointed out that cheap partisan politics had contributed to the state the country finds itself.
Despite the prevailing situation, he maintained that  Ghana would revert to the path of development with the right interventions.

He submitted that the Educational System, could not produce graduates who would be able to invert raw materials in international products situation, which he noticed accounted for the increased importation of basic products into the country.
