Thugs planned attack on Obuasi MCE bacfires, flee with ballot papers, vandalize polling Center.

Executives and voters were in shock as thugs invaded the polling centers of  Obuasi West constituency while the Npp current polling election was ongoing on Sunday, February 27.

Although the municipal chief executive, Honorable. Elijah Adansi Bonah was present addressing some internal issues, he was unhurt in the act.

The Obuasi Municipal police command was present but the thugs were taken to their heels before the police intervened.

The election was halted at the Kunka chief palace polling center following the incident.

Meanwhile, a similar incident occurred at Pipeline, a polling Center in the Obuasthe I east constituency on the same day.

The district chief executive for the Obuasi East constituency Hon. Faustina Amissah was protected before being center to vacate polling center save.

She was nearly attacked by some party supporters based on an alleged supposed foul play in the internal ongoing election.

A lot of party followers have expressed displeasure in the on ng treatment of some executives who are vying for positions in the ongoing internal elections.

Some say, there have been authorities playing some authority to impose their preferred choice on them which also will not help boost development in the country.

Information gathered by soireenews Yaw Opoku indicates that a planned injunction by some aggrieved persons would be secured on some polling centers within Obuasi on Monday.
