The President of Kumasi Royal Lions Club, Ms Efuah Hanson has tasked the President of Ghana and Stakeholders in the country to motivate teachers who imparts knowledge at special schools.

According to Ms Efuah Hanson, special school teachers spend a lot of time in directing and helping students amidst parents rejection yet the motivation to enhance their field of work is restrained. She address that there was the need for government to inspire special school teachers in order to impel them direct the disabled.

 

 

As part of the Club's calendar, December is a month for relieving hunger which was in line with the goals of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) therefore the Kumasi Royal Lions Club thought it informing to socialize with the Edwenase Rehabilitation Center to make them content.

“Their work demands more sacrifice in helping to develop and support these children. God is their rewarder yet we must play our duty as men to influence their actions. The government must provide and assist them more than he does for teachers due to the nature of their work.

“They allocate extra time for the upkeep of the disabled. These are people that are sometimes rejected by some parents yet the extra care they get brings the best out of them,” she said.

 

 

Ms Efua Hanson called unto the public to lend a helping hand to the teachers even if government’s task towards them is undermined. She emphasized that it is important to show love towards the children to help improve their horizon therefore motivating the teachers is a way of extending love towards the learners.

“It is our responsibility as people to be of assistance to the teachers to take extra care of the disabled. We cannot relieve all the duties to the government. We also have a role to play because some of them are our loved ones. With all humility, let us help one another,” she added.
