Today is Kuami Eugene's birthday.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Award's Artiste of the Year announced the occasion himself by uploading a photo of himself standing beside a "brand new car" with the plate number “KUAMI 1-21” on his Instagram page.

“Happy +1 to Me. I toast to success, I toast to the good life. Whatever I put hands on I pray that God bless. I wish Me a mansion. I wish me expansion. I pray that I live long enough to finish everything that God sent me to do. Amen.” He wrote.

Shortly after his announcement, the Lynx Entertainment signee was seen flaunting the "new" Chevrolet, while also allowing others to check it out.

It was immediately reported by news outlets that the prolific artiste had gifted himself with a brand new car.

A closer look however will prove otherwise.

The Chevrolet is in fact the same car that the artiste reportedly acquired for nothing less than $25,000 for himself last year December.

He has only changed the colour and plate number; the car is still the same fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, that uses a 400hp 6.0-liter V-8 engine mated with a six-speed manual transmission.

Only now, it has been changed from the previous yellow colour.

Originally designed by a South Korean-born designer Sangyup Lee.

The car was based on the Holden developed GM Zeta platform.

It was powered by a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine rated at 400 hp (298 kW) with active fuel management.

The engine was mated to a T56 6-speed manual transmission and the car was equipped with front and rear suspension featuring progressive-rate springs and gas-pressurized dampers, four-wheel vented disc brakes with 14-inch rotors, 21-inch front and 22-inch rear five-spoke cast alloy wheels, and 275/30R21 front and 305/30R22 rear tires.

The wheelbase is 110.5 in (281 cm), which is 9 in (23 cm) longer than its predecessor, but an overall length of just 186.2 in (473 cm), 7 in (18 cm) shorter. The concept was inspired by the 1969 Camaro.
