Ex Shatta Movement Militant, Natty Lee has opened up on the disadvantages of associating with Shatta Wale.

According to him, Shatta Wale's numerous enemies automatically make his friends their enemies too. He stated that this has been affecting his own music career as people he has not personally offended always seem to want to do him wrong just because of his affiliations with Shatta Wale.

During an interview on eTV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show while speaking to the host, Foster Romanus, the artiste stated that he would like to change the association by affiliation syndrome in the Ghanaian industry where people either treat you good or bad based on the relationship they have with the people you know.

Natty Lee pointed out how people who have issues with Shatta Wale always refuse to promote his own songs even though he is no longer under his label. 

“If you have a problem with someone, it does not mean you should channel it to someone else close to the person. What the media is doing right now is God’s work because you’re helping us get to where we need to get to in this business so you shouldn’t do this favouritism”, he said.

In the interview, Nat Lee disclosed that the fact that he is no longer under Shatta Wale's label does not mean he is nor a Shatta Movement blood. He asserted that he has only left the record label, but he is still very much involved in the things that happen at the movement.

“The fact that I’m not there anymore doesn’t mean I have abandoned the movement or we’re not a family anymore. We’re still a family but I’m just running my own things now. I always did the writing on my own so now it’s just my label Leegang that I’m working under”, he said.

Natth Lee, however, admitted that he was hurt when Shatta Wale officially announced during a Facebook live that he has sacked his Militants Natty Lee, Joint 77, Addi Self and Captan because they are lazy musicians who are not ready to be in the limelight despite his coaching tips

He lamented on how he was therefor Shatta Wale when people said that he did not use to produce good songs a couple of years back.

“If now he thinks that we do not do good songs, that’s his opinion and I must say it hurt me but when Shatta is talking about the Militants, he generalizes it. He does not treat us individually so sometimes when one person offends him, it affects us all”, he concluded
