Luis Suarez has resumed training for Barcelona after suffering a knee injury against Athletico Bilbao in the opening fixtures of the Spanish Laliga.

The Uruguayan was substituted in the 37-minute for Rafinha in a match Barca lost 1-0 at the San Mames. According to SPORT, Lionel Messi will not be part of Barca’s game against Valencia on Saturday but Suarez is capable of playing his second game of the season.

The club has not passed him fit for Saturday’s encounter yet reports indicate that he will be given a last minute fitness test to prove either he is ready to be back in action.

The Laliga Champions will play Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League opener next week and the likeliness of the Uruguayan to start is certain.

Frenkie De Jong, Ter Stegen, Carles Alena were all part of the morning session after returning from International duties.
