Stonebwoy and Sarkodie featured in this year’s Beale Street Music Festival

The event will welcome world artistes like Lil Wayne, The Lumineers, Nelly and many others

This year’s Beale Street Music Festival will feature Ghana’s artiste of the decade, Sarkodie and Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy.

The Beale Street Music Festival is a three-day, four-stage event in Memphis, TN featuring 60+ top musical acts from today and beyond.

The organization, which began over 40 years ago with a modest budget of $52,000 has grown to become a 8.0 million dollar non-profit organization, which is recognized across the country and around the world as one of North America’s leading festivals.

The two Ghanaians will share same stage with renowned world musicians at the Tom Lee Park in Memphis, USA and will host over 62 acts. The creme de la creme of global Hip Hop, Pop, Rock and diverse genres will be experienced at this year’s Beale Street Music Festival.

 

 

“While we feature artists from the honored country each year at The Beale Street Music Festival, this year we are especially pleased to present two of the top artists from Ghana, and performers who are highly regarded throughout all of Africa and internationally,” said James L. Holt, President and CEO of Memphis in May.

“Given the excitement surrounding our salute to Ghana, we expect Sarkodie and Stonebwoy to be very well received.”

 

 

Names like Lil Wayne, The Lumineers, Nelly, Weezer, Three 6 Mafia, The Lumineers, The 1975 are among several others are also representing live at the event which is a few months away.
