Sefwi Akontombra:  No government under the Fourth Republic has built more roads than NPP -Yawson Yamoah
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly in the Western North Region, Mr, Yawson Yamoah, has stated categorically that no government under the fourth Republic of Ghana has built road infrastructures than the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
 
"I understand the fourth Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu-Addo has done a lot on Roads than any government simple because most of our Roads are in deplorable state but now we have seen a lot of improvement under the watch of His Excellency the President from 2017 to date.
 
"Most of our Roads in Akontombra District has seen  light. These roads,Wiawso - Akontombra 69(km)Kolbas Junction-Oppongkrom-Manukrom(11.5Km), Asanteman Junction-Progya(18Km), Akontombra-Dadieso and 
Nsawora Junction-Yawkrom," he noted.
 
He pointed out that there are improvement in some major roads linking many communities within the district and these roads were constructed by the current government under his watch. 
Setting the records straight while
addressing the people of Suaman and  Akontombra on Nyamekye Radio, Mr Yamoah declared that in the history of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, no government has constructed more roads than the New Patriotic Party 
Mr Yawson said that no government since the start of the Fourth Republic can be compared with the New Patriotic Party when it comes to building of roads across the country.
The DCE said this when the host of 'Ghana Maakye' on Nyamekye Radio, Man-Patoo asked him of what he is doing in obliterate the deplorable roads in the district.
The DCE bemoaned on the current hardship in Ghana as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Ukraine-Russia war but will soon be a thing of the past and he can attest the year of roads will put most of Ghanaians faces with smiles.
He added that the government is making every effort to relieve the pressure from road crises.
He said Ghana will continue to see many road networks open under the leadership of the NPP, hence the need to support the government.
He added that a good road networks open many opportunities to communities and places, and that is what the NPP is focusing on, ensuring that parts of Ghana with deplorable roads are given the attention they needed, especially in the Akontombra District.
