The Soireenews.com investigations have revealed that the bloody explosion at the Anchor Hope Preparation School area in Santa Maria in the Ga Central municipality of the Greater Accra involving two young women was caused by dynamite.
Although the officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation(NADMO) and national security agencies are yet to make public their findings, Soireenews.com can confirm that the dynamite has been brought to its current location at the Anchor Hope area by the flooding water for years.

According to the students of the Anchor Hope Preparation School who spoke to this news outlet on condition of anonymity on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, they have been spotting the thing in the area and thought that it was just a rock in the area.
They mentioned that they suspected the ownership of the dynamite by those who are doing stone quarry businesses in Santa Maria.

They pointed out that the stone quarry persons might have used the dynamite to blast the rock and when it rains the flood water washed it down from their stone quarry pits to the area near their school.
'"So we think that the dynamite blasted to cause the harm when it was under the scorching sun for so long," the students revealed.

It would be recalled that two people have been left injured following an alleged dynamite blast at Santa Maria in Accra.
It is still unknown what triggered the incident but residents in the area say they are living in fear.
The explosion is said to have happened around 3 pm on Tuesday.
A lady identified as Gladys Fiavi is said to have been caught up in the blast; resulting in the removal of her toenails.
In an attempt to rescue Gladys, a pregnant woman who visited the scene fell unconsciously and was sent to the hospital for medical attention.
In an interview with Soireenews.com, the assemblyman for Santa Maria Electoral Area in Accra, Nana Kwesi Boandwoh explained that he got wind of the incident, after which he rushed to the place where the explosion occurred.
“The issue happened in a suburb of Santa Maria; it’s a polling station used for voting. Around 3 o’clock [in the afternoon], on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, I had a call from one of the residents complaining that there is an explosion in the area, something like a dynamite blast.
“I had to rush to the scene, and I reported to NADMO and all the stakeholders involved. We went to the scene but unfortunately, we couldn’t even locate where the blast came from but they [residents] just heard a blast from the ground,” Nana Kofi Boandwoah said.
Eyewitnesses who helped in transporting the wounded lady to the Anyaa Polyclinic said they have never seen anything like that happen in the area before.
Due to this, the residents have cordoned off the area where the explosion took place to prevent others from going near the site.
Meanwhile, the Assemblyman says “the Police and the NIB and other security agencies are undertaking investigations into the incident.”
“I would like to appeal to the necessary quarters and the stakeholders involved to come to our aid and solve this issue once and for all because we don’t know when it’s going to happen again,” he added.
"Because we cannot just leave the issue like that to go and we don't know what would happen again in subsequent times," the Assemblyman stressed.
He allayed the fear of the residents in the area and assured them that the matter is under investigation to try to find out the true causes of the issue
The injured are said to be responding to treatment.
