Salaries Of Headmasters Of Achimota, Wesley Girls, And Others Are Unbelievable

Angel Cabounu the president of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has revealed the salary of Headmasters and Mistresses of the various Senior High Schools in Ghana and netizens are finding it hard to believe.
In an interview monitored by Okay FM this morning, the President of the association stated that heads of schools in Ghana work very hard but it doesn’t reflect in their salaries.
According to Mr. Cabounu in the interview with Kwame, he asserted that ‘’I can say for a fact that all the heads receive less than Ghc4000’’.
He also revealed schools like Adisadel, PRESEC, Achimota, and many more. He said it is just the name but that doesn't reflect in the salary structure.
He was speaking about the striking Teachers, he said unless their demand is met by the government, they are not going back to the schools. He further stressed that this time around, the strike has the full participation of all the four teacher Unions namely NAGRAT, GNAT, CCT, and TEWU.
He noted that they are asking for 20% of their gross salary and nothing else.
The revelation came as a surprise to many who thought the head of these big schools received higher remuneration.
Hopefully, the government will reach a fruitful agreement with the striking teachers to address their concerns.
