Retain Our MCE Now- Kwaebibirem Market Women Appeal To Kwaebibirem   Akufo-Addo
MCE for Kwaebibirem, Mr. Seth Antwi Boasiako

Scores of market women in Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region have appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to consider the good works done by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Seth Antwi Boasiako and retain him as the MCE if the areas for his second term.

According to them, the current MCE has demonstrated a good personal working relationship with the chiefs, traditional office holders, religious leaders, and the youth.

Addressing a press conference at Kade on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, an executive member of the Kwaebibirem Market Women Association, stated that since President Akufo-Addo appointed Mr. Boasiako as the MCE, he has worked hard to bring socio-economic development and growth to the area.

"We are appealing to our President to re-appoint our MCE because he has the capability to transform the area and as the head of the Assembly, Mr. Boasiako always ensured an equitable distribution of resources available to the Assembly.

"For example, distribution of resources to persons with disabilities (PWDs). More so is his effective implementation of government policies including youth afforestation, NABCO, Free Senior High School, One District One Factory which has resulted in job creation of the terming youths in the Municipality," they disclosed.

According to the women, their MCE performed extremely well in his first term of office and they believe that he will do even much better for the area if he is maintained.

"Mr. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo changing Seth Antwi Boasiako will cause a delay in the progress of Kwaebibirem considering the service he has rendered to the Municipality since his appointment.

They mentioned that Mr. Boasiako's outfit helped the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in winning the parliamentary seat and increased the presidential votes in the 2020 general elections therefore should be maintained.
