Prez Akufo-Addo directs IGP to provide Amidu with 24hrs security
Martin Amidu has also been encouraged to assist police in their investigations

President Akufo-Addo has directed the Inspector General of Police to provide former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu with police protection, following complaints about threats on his life.
Martin Amidu is also being encouraged to assist police with details of persons who have made these alleged threats to fastrack investigation.
This was disclosed in social media post by the Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin
Mr Amidu had said should anything happen to him, the President should be blamed.
Eugene Arhin says Akufo-Addo has taken notice of the claims made by Mr Amidu and has acted by directing the IGP to ensure he is safe.
