Politics nearly cost me my life, said MzBel

Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, often known as Mzbel, has acknowledged that she received threats on her life as a result of her support for the NDC in the 2016 presidential election.

Politics nearly cost me my life, said MzBel

The music diva stated that she would no longer support the National Democratic Congress as she has in the past because she nearly lost her life in an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 92.7.

The singer of "Asibolanga" indicated that as a result of the exposure and learning, she will still support the political party, but in a different way.

She said, her voice a mixture of fury and resolve, "I have been through a lot due of politics. "I have experienced attacks in public places, my house, and even on stage. Because of politics, a grown woman really booed me on stage, MzBel recalled.

The "E dey bee" singer explained why she chose to heed the counsel of her devoted fan base and remain loyal to her fundamental identity as a performer and artist.

The 43-year-old singer and businesswoman announced her plan to support her preferred political party in alternative methods, drawing on her life-altering experiences in order to escape the harsh criticism that had ruined her previous endeavor.

When she first appeared on the scene in 2006, her ground-breaking hit songs like "16 years," "Awoso me," "E dey bee," "Asibolanaga," and "Saucy Girl" quickly rose to become anthems that were embraced by Ghanaians from all walks of life.

Beyond her solo work, MzBel has collaborated with renowned musicians including the late Castro, Debbie, Screw Face, and Quata, enriching the musical landscape.

Her endeavors, however, go beyond music. She has devoted her voice to problems outside of the spotlight in her capacity as an entrepreneur and global champion for individuals with disabilities.
