Police hunt Kenyan MP over voting day shooting
Controversy is nothing new to Mr. Barasa. He was detained and accused of attacking a local musician last year.
A Kenyan MP is on the run after it is claimed that he killed a rival's aide in Western Kenya.
Witnesses report that following a confrontation at a polling place in Bungoma county, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa shot the man in the head.
In preparation for this year's general elections, police have started a manhunt for the MP who wants to run for re-election.
He has been given 24 hours to turn himself in to the people looking into the killing.
