Pete Edochie, "You can rule a country if you can cope with a woman"

On Friday, in honor of International Women's Day (IWD), the seasoned actor announced this.

On March 8, the actor—who turned 77 on March 8—also commended women for their contributions to family.

Pete Edochie emphasized that a woman's "tongue" is where her strength lies.

Speaking in a video that was uploaded to his official social media website, Edochie said that a man is not a man if he slaps women without cause.

He claimed that although women are difficult to be around, once they move in, a house becomes a home.

"International Women's Day was celebrated on the same day as my 77th birthday. Thus, I would want to take this chance to congratulate our women. A house is a house, but only until a lady moves in does it become a home. "A woman's strength lies in her language," he remarked.

"You are not worthy to call yourself a man if you strike a woman after she provokes you. However, if you can manage a woman, you can manage a local government or even a whole nation. It's what I want to tell you.

Thus, congrats to each and every woman. Continue. We are proud of you. You look after our kids."

Edochie has appeared in more over 200 films during his nearly four-decade acting career notably among them are ‘Things Fall Apart’ and ‘Living with Death’.
