The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong has  urged the people to pay their taxes frequently to enable the assembly to undertake the needed social and infrastructural development projects for the district.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong, has 
urged the people to pay their taxes frequently to enable the assembly to undertake the needed social and infrastructural development projects for the district. 
He noted that the payment of taxes such as property rates, license fees, and other rates were chief sources of revenue for the district assembly.
According to him, the government through the Assembly is instituting efforts aimed at improving the livelihoods of people in the town in particular and the district in general
Mr. Oppong made the call on Saturday, April 9, 2022, when was in the studios of Voice Fm 94.3 in Dormaa Ahenkro to speak on the state of the Dormaa West District. 
He highlighted the numerous ongoing and completed road infrastructure in the district executed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government through the Former member of Parliament, Mr. Ali Maiga Halide.
Amongst the roads he mentioned included;
Diabaakrom to AhenfiekromYaakrom to Diabaakrom, Yaakrom to Atesikrom 
Nkrankwanta township roads 2.5k, Nkrankwanta township 3.  km ongoing. 
5. Barrier through kwakuanya to Nkwantasso,
Kwakuanya to Kojokumikrom and the 
Nkrankwanta to Ahemakrom stretch, 10km 
On health, the DCE said the assembly will complete the 60 capacity pediatric wards started by the Former MP Hon. Ali Maiga Halide. 
He said he will build an accident and emergency department at the Dormaa West District Hospital. 
" There is one thing I am going to do and that is a priority. The assembly will liaise with the central government to build an Accident and emergency department at the District Hospital. When the rainstorm hit Nkrankwanta on 3rd March,  we were lucky there were no severe injuries to the students. We would have found ourselves wanting." 
Others are District Assembly Block, Fire service station, Abattoir, District examination printing room, and District Courtroom. Ongoing amongst others.
On revenue generation, the DCE said the assembly has introduced a 'Pragya levy' ( GH¢ 1.00) per day to help the assembly raise revenue to develop the District.
