Majority of pupils have made it a norm to observe covid-19 protocols at school but neglect the duty during closing.

Many children refuse to wear their nose masks, while others prefer hanging it under their chin whiles they walk home unprotected.

Some school children in the Eastern Region were captured unaware by camera demonstrating that the covid-19 health protocols is practised in school and not outside. This idea put families at risk due to the 'abnormal' attitude of wards as life after school hours can be another indirect way of spreading the pandemic that needs a second look.

Parental advice on the virus to their ward is majorly on observing the health directives when they are within the boundaries of schools yet the latter activities after the sound of the bell have been left unattended.

Ghana's active COVID-19 cases have spiked to 2,413 after 658 new cases were recorded. Some three patients have also succumbed to the virulent disease, bringing the total COVID-19 mortalities to 361.

As government is strengthening coronavirus health protocols to prevent the disease from escalating, these pupils after school must be educated on their behaviours until they get to their guardians.

Since some board cars and come in contact with people, it is necessary that parents widen their scope on pupils health and teach them on the dangers of the covid-19 to keep them on guard wherever they find themselves.
