On the issues in relation to the NDC in the Lower West Akim Constituency not having parliamentary candidate before the visit of President Dramani Mahama to the constituency today, Mr Mohammed responded that this issue has nothing to affect the peace and unity the people of the party are enjoying in the area.
He pointed out that the issue in battling indicates that the petitioners have not petitioned the Lower West Akim constituency executives to protest the confirmation of the contestants of NDC parliamentary primaries but they petitioned the Eastern Regional Vetting Committee of the NDC and made the cases against these parliamentary hopefuls.
"The petitioners didn't petition us as the constituency executives of the NDC, so it is office that they had petitioned is the one responsible to find out of those who had submitted the petition to their outfit.
However, finding out those who had petitioned the Eastern Regional Vetting Committee is not the work of Lower West Akim Constituency executives,"Mohammed noted, stressing that has been in this party politics since 1992.
According to Mr Mohammed it is the work of the panel of the Eastern Regional Vetting Committee to do fair justice to all the petitions which were brought against the parliamentary hopefuls, stressing that this is not "our work as the constituency executives."
"Even though if these ongoing issues would affect the party in the constituency, l believe that the vetting committee knowns it better.
Because that is why the leadership of the NDC has selected the members of the vetting committee to come and do justice to the vetting processes of the parliamentary aspirants in the area" he explained.
Mincing no words, Mr Mohammed called for a united front to wrestle the Lower West Akim parliamentary seat from the NPP in the  2024 general elections.
