Outgoing Deputy Northern Regional Fire Commander advises personnel to uphold team spirit

The outgone Deputy Northern Regional officer of the Ghana Fire Service, ACFO I Orison Kofi Besah Damechie has tasked personnel of the service to own and jealously guide the dignity of the institution.

He indicated the possibility to maintain the good name of the Institution with team spirit.

"The Ghana fire Service is for us all, let us own it passionately and cherish it. With team spirit, unity, and proper coordination, we can uplift and maintain the good name of this noble institution". He read on behalf of the outgone Deputy Commander.

He appealed to personnel of the service to give unflinching support to the Regional fire officer and the management to project the image of the service.

He admonished the current regional Commander not to waste time in implementing his plans, because his time in the region is limited.

He further asked for forgiveness should in case he offended anyone.

"If one way or the other, I have offended any one of you, please forgive me. To err is human and to forgive is divine". He made this known during his pullout ceremony in Tamale.

The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu said the government has completed a fire post in Tolon and Saboba districts, but urged other Municipal Chief executives to make efforts to initiate similar projects.

He appealed to Non-governmental organizations and benevolent individuals to complement government efforts in the improvement of the Ghana fire Service.

Alhaji Shani advised the successor of the Deputy Commander to continue with the good work left behind.

He further wished Mr. Orison Kofi Besah Damechie the best as he departs from the service.

The Northern Regional Commander of the Fire Service, Mr. James Ankrah congratulated the outgoing Deputy Commander, stating that going on retirement for thirty-two (32) is well deserving.
