On her trip back to the UK, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

The British-Iranian woman Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who was arrested in Iran nearly six years ago, has been released and is on her way back to the UK.

In 2016, the 43-year-old was jailed on charges of attempting to destabilize the Iranian government, which she rejected.

Mrs.. Zaghari-Ratcliffe was at the airport in Tehran, according to her MP, Tulip Siddiq.

Her UK passport was returned to her this week after she was placed under house arrest.

Richard Ratcliffe, who lives in Hampstead, London with their daughter Gabriella, has campaigned for her release, including embarking on a hunger strike in October last year.

Mrs. Zaghari-Ratcliffe had been "dreaming" of returning to the UK, according to Ms. Siddiq, Labour's MP for Hampstead and Kilburn in London.
