Ghanaian artiste, Okyeame Kwame has confessed that he wept profusely when his "dear friend", former President of Musicians Union of Ghanaian (MUSIGA) Bice Osei Kuffour lost his Parliamentary primaries.

According to the prominent rapper, he could not understand why Obour had not won the elections after seeing first hand how effectively his leadership qualities are when he was the president of MUSIGA.

“I cried when Obour lost his primaries. He is the most selfless human being I know and I know he would have been an amazing MP for the people. I have confidence he will succeed in future,” he stated this in a recent interview with Bola Ray on his “Starr Chat” show.

Okyeame Kwame, however, explained that he understood the whole process, as one is bound to make a lot of enemies when one is a  pioneer. He claimed that Obour is only a victim of his own excellent leadership qualities.

Obour, after completing his term as President for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA),, had tried to enter the Member of Parliament seat in the Asante Akyem South constituency in the Ashanti Region under the ticket of the National Patriotic Party (NPP).

His attempt was effectively truncated when he lost out in June earlier this year.

Okyeame Kwame also stated that he will consider going into politics in the nearest future.

“Going into politics has crossed my mind 50% of the time. My wife says I don’t have the heart for politics but I don’t think I should have the heart before I get into it,” he concluded.
