NPP Youth Group Raise Red Flag Over Polling Station Election Forms Brouhaha

Grassroots Crusaders, a pleasure group in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated categorically that the party currently needs a strong leader to manage affairs as the proactive and effective Director of Elections at its party’s headquarters in Accra to consolidate its electoral gains.
According to the group, their request has become necessary because anxiety and tension have gripped many polling station executives of the NPP over their inability to obtain nomination forms to begin the party’s internal elections ahead of the crucial 2024 general elections.
According to the group, the party’s Election Directorate must work assiduously to ensure that the views of all well-meaning NPP members who are vying for various positions were treated fairly as it was done during the tenure of Mr. Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah.
In a release issued by the leaders of the group in the persons of by the National President of the group, Fuseini Tahiru National Secretary, Mr. Atio Muda and National Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Rashid Yabo, the Grassroots Crusaders observed that under of Mr. Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah leadership, no eligible candidate has denied nomination forms.
The state which was dated Thursday, March 3, 2022, added that "what is happening now under the current Director of the Elections of the NPP, Mr. Evans Nimako is a wake-up call for "our election management body in our great party."
The statement, therefore, called for a competent person who would be committed to an all-inclusive administration to be able to harness the resources and capabilities of every member to strengthen the party from the grassroots which was considered as the beacon of the party to the national level.
The Grassroots Crusaders reminded NPP leadership of the difficult task ahead of the party as they sought to remain in power after the 2024 general elections.
The group appealed to the would-be delegates to be mindful that the job ahead required more experienced and knowledgeable people to ensure a landslide victory for the party.
The group indicated that it has been monitoring the exercise keenly and would not allow anyone to mar the exercise.
Grassroots Crusaders urged all party stalwarts who wanted to purchase the forms for aspirants to channel the money for the forms through the party headquarters.
Grassroots Crusaders asked all aspirants to remain calm, as the party would overcome the teething challenges.
"It said much as the NPP stood a better chance of winning the 2024 elections, the party needed to work hard to unite all factions and address the grievances of the grassroots to secure a resounding victory.
