Outspoken Ghanaian rapper, Kwaw Kese, has stated that he strongly feels the New Patriotic Party has determined in its mind to extort Ghanaians.

The lyricist exclaimed that he does not understand why the COVID-19 testing fee in Ghana is much more expensive than other countries.

He emphatically stated that he is not willing to pay the $150 COVID-19 testing fee set by the Nana Addo regime when he arrives at the Kotoka International Airport from the United States of America (USA).

According to him, the Coronavirus testing fee in the USA when he currently is cost $5, so he cannot understand why the Ghanaian government has its citizens paying approximately 30 times that amount.

The rapper expressed his determination to fully resist the exorbitant costs of getting a coronavirus test when he arrives back in Ghana.

Kwaw Kese explained that he does not see any other valid reason for the drastic increase in testing fee except that the Nana Addo government has determined to extort Ghanaians. He angrily made his thoughts known in a video on his Twitter page.

“I’m coming home after seven months of staying away from Ghana due to lockdown. I came to work for money but that was not possible and I’ve spent all my money. So as I’m returning back home, you want to charge me $150 when the same test is done for $5 here? Well, this is extortion. I’m coming to Ghana and If anyone wants he should tell me to pay $150 and I will deal with them," he said.
