NPP and NDC celebrate peaceful coexistence with clean-up exercise in Kintampo

Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kintampo North Constituency in the Bono East Region have embarked on a massive cleaning-up exercise to celebrate and showcase their political tolerance over the years to the world.

Unlike other constituencies where politics had led to confusion and loggerheads among party supporters, Kintampo North in the Bono East Region has a good story to tell in leading the path for political tolerance.

The youth of the leading political parties, NPP and NDC, in the constituency have on Saturday embarked on a cleaning-up exercise to celebrate what they observe as a political tolerance and peaceful coexistence despite the political differences.

A couple of weeks, the same leadership came together to fight the VRA/NEDCO, for what they claimed as unfair charges against electricity consumers.

The well patronized cleaning-up exercise, saw the business centre of Kintampo, and some choked gutters along the principal streets were dislodged and debris carried away.

Both MP and MCE from opposing parties as well as their constituency executives took part in the exercise.

The Ghana National fire service (GNFS) also helped in the dislodging exercise.

Joseph Nanga is the NPP Youth Organiser and Mubarak Seidu, NDC, spoke to the media on behalf of his colleague.

The MCE, Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw, and his MP, Joseph Kwame Kumah, also commended the youth for the initiative.
