No true NPP member will contest against the party as Independent candidate – Akufo-Addo

Flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akuffo-Addo Dankwa has slammed some members of the party who have threatened to stand as an independent parliamentary candidate in the upcoming elections.

According to the president, the antics, are not characteristic of the true party faithful.

He, not that, he is not ready to work with any independent candidate who has already flouted party rules and regulations.

The president disclosed this at a durbar at Tepa during the Commissioning of Ahafo Ano North District of the Ashanti region

He said most of the independent parliamentary candidates who claim to be members of the ruling NPP did not honour his invitation for amicable solutions after several attempts by his office, therefore, he can’t work with them should any of them emerge victorious on December 7 general elections.

“I can’t Work With Any Independent Candidate.. No true NPP member will contest against the party in the form of an independent”, Nana Addo stated.

He has however charged all members of the NPP to vote against any independent candidate as the party do not recognize any of such candidates.
