NDC Volta Regional Women's Organiser Donates Relief Items To Flood Hit Victims In North Tongu Constituency
VOLTA REGIONAL Women's Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Madam Delphia Fafa Agbai together with her two deputies came to the aid of flood victim

s in the North Tongu Constituency.

They, with the support from the Women's Working Committee of the Volta Regional NDC, donated three hundred (300) bags of safe drinking water to be shared among the displaced victims.

This has become very necessary due to the disturbing effects of the spillage of both the Akosombo and Kpong Dams that have and are still destroying livelihoods and properties.
What makes the current situation life threatening is the level of contamination in the Volta River, the only source of safe drinking water to the communities along the river Volta.

As such, the timely donation of the bags of water would travel a long way to lessen the impact of the devastation
"I want to assure you that my outfit is in talks with donor partners for more support in the ensuing days," Madam Delphia Fafa Agbai stressed.
Receiving the items on behalf of the constituency chairman, NTC women's wing and CEC, Mr Dzesi Kwame Torku conveyed deep appreciation of North Tongu NDC to the leadership of the Regional Women's Wing for coming to the aid of the people in this trying  moments of their lives.

He, therefore, assured them that the items would be shared to target audiences suffering the consequences of the spillage.
He also used the opportunity to appeal to NGOs, Philanthropists, and party faithfuls within the region and across the world to come to the aid of North Tongu.
