Buduburam Fire Education Directorate Offers Psychological Assistance To Teachers
In order to put teachers in a perfect psychological position for smooth academic activities as schools reopen, the Gomoa East Education Directorate has put together a team of psychological experts from the University of Education, Winneba to assist teachers of the two schools.

The Gomoa East District Education Directorate has offered psychological support to teachers of schools where 57 years old Robert Asan Donkor headed until his demise after a fire gutted his residence on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
The headmaster, his wife, and all their 5 children perished in that fire incident. A team made up of the District Director of Education, Member of Parliament, and psychologists from the University of Education, Winneba has been touring the two schools at Gomoa Buduburam. For a decade, Mr. Asan headed the Buduburam Model Basic school before he was transferred to the Buduburam D/A Basic School some 3 months ago.
Following the inferno that claimed the life of Mr. Asan and his entire family, teachers, and pupils of both schools have been left in a state of shock.
For the teachers, they are yet to accept that, Mr. Asan is no more as they were with him at the GES workshop on the new curriculum on the Friday before the Saturday on which the incident happened.
Some other teachers who shared this residential building with him out of fear, have even vacated the residence as the cause of the inferno has not been established yet.

Briefing to Soireenews Reporter, she underscored the need to provide teachers with psychological support in these times.
She also mentioned that, in order to ensure the successful administration of the school, the assistant headmaster has been asked to take charge until a substantive headmaster is posted to replace Mr. Assan.
Hon. Desmond De-Graft Paitoo is a Member of Parliament for the Gomoa East Constituency, whilst asking family members and teachers to take solace in the Lord also recognized the need to have teachers and students psyched in order to ensure smooth academic activities.
