THE GREATER ACCRA Regional Chairman of
the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Honourable Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore has joined the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the NDC in the Okaikoi South Constituency, Mr Ernest Adomako to fete hundreds of widows in the Okaikoi South Constituency.

by Mr Adomako who was joined with Honourable Moore together with the Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the party, Madam Felicia Dzifa Tengah and Okaikoi South Constituency Chairman among others.

They were given bags of rice and live fows.
The first ever event was part of Okaikoi South Constituency PC’s initiative to celebrate the Christmas festivities and also to show care and love for the underprivileged and needy in Okaikoi South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Adomako gave  special thank to Honourable Moore, Felicia Dzifa Tengah, Okaikoi South Constituency and all his executives, party faithfuls, and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
"I am grateful for the journey the Lord has led me on, I chose to conclude this year by expressing appreciation to widows in the Okaikoi South Constituency. It's my gesture to bring smiles to their faces during this festive season," he noted.

He noted that the event was a happy moment to thank God for His mercies, blessings and comfort for the widows and assured that the event would be done yearly for underprivileged and needy in the Okaikoi South Constituency when he elected the MP for the area.
He argued that, Christians had a duty to care for the society and also make the world a better place.

Mr Adomako encouraged the widows not to give–up on God and that “through people He is caring for His children.”
“This occasion is not to remember your sorrows, but, to appreciate what God has done for us, stressing that Indeed , let’s remember that God cares for all of us, “ Honourable Moore advised.

He stated “ We call on the gathering especially the widows to pray deep in their hearts and thank God for what He has done for us. We’ve not been disgraced, and we have not died."
He added that the event was tailored to promote the welfare of widows and the disadvantaged in society, adding that “ God has listened to your prayers.”

“This is Christmas and we are promoting healthy life and growth. We pray that the next season will also be a blessing to us all. We also pray for longer life especially for Mr Duker, “ he noted.
Sounded political, the NDC PC is confident of winning the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general election.

He disagrees with the notion that the Okaikoi South Constituency is "a no-go area" for the opposition NDC.
Mr. Adomako said he would mobilise the core NDC Caucus in the constituency and woo both floating voters and New Patriotic Party sympathisers in order to end the 28 years of NPP reign in the constituency

For his part, Honourable Moore thanked Mr Adomako for the event, which he described as a respite and joy to beneficiaries assured to rally support for him to win the seat from the NPP.

He stressed that said “ We seek God’s guidance and blessings for Mr Adomako for what he is doing for widows in Okaikoi South Constituency.
