The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and Parliamentary Candidate-elect for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Krowor Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Madam Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has told Soirreenews.com that her humanitarian initiatives and programmes geared towards development in the constituency are changing the lives of the constituents, particularly the young people.

According to the female MP, since she was given the nod to represent constituents in parliament, she has recognized the aspirations of the youth and channel her policies to meet those aspirations and these are changing the lives of "our young people in the Krowor constituency.
Assuring the constituents of continue to lobby for the social and infrastructure intervention development projects and programme, Madam Lartey indicated her commitment and readiness to go ahead to lobby for provision of projects.

These would be centered on the educational infrastructures, employment opportunities, skills training for the youths, hospitals, roads and market centres and the extension of electricity power to improve the living conditions of the citizenry.

Flanked by the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, she stated that she is one person/ politician who never used opposition as an excuse, saying that l am always working hard to improve the living conditions of the constituents and saying that l never neglected or denied them whenever they needed my assistance."

"I always serve the constituents with every capacity that l have the opportunity to so. So l know that by the grace of God l am going to win the seat hands down to continue to serve them well. My relationship with the constituents is beyond politics. 

In term of giving creating employment for the young people in the Krowor, the MP noted that she has starting giving employment to the young people in the area before she became the MP.
She mentioned that her humanitarian contributions towards changing the lives of the people in the area have truncated l politics.

She reiterated that she has been working to create massive decent jobs for the people adding that l have been working to support the educational development of the youths in the constituency.
The MP said her people knew that at the top of everything that l do as the MP for Krowor, or even before she becomes the MP, is my desire to ensure that the youths ascend the highest education possibly because the education is a key to eradicate poverty in Ghanaian society.

 "l could do all that l can to empower my people, because the empowerment starts from within so once my people realized the needs and acknowledged that there is the need for them to prepare themselves or position themselves for greater highest, the people would make my works very easier for me."
"So it is not something that l would tell you [referring to the journalist] that l am going to do now and l would finish doing it..No!
"Everyday and every now and then you have these people joining the constituency and if l decided that everyone gets employed you still have different people coming in to the area. So it is the process just like any other things we have done concerning the electoral election.

"In this sense l would continue to work with my people and serve them properly. It is not on the pace that l would have wanted but l believe that it is not totally bad. 
"I am appreciating the level we are now and what we are able to do with the little that we have towards changing the lives of the people, particularly the young ones in the area. I trust that we would be able to do more with the bigger opportunities that awaiting us," she noted.
Honourable Lartey made these foregoing statements when she was addressing the visibly joyful NDC faithfuls at the Thanksgiving Service after she won Krowor Constituency parliamentary candidate primary held on Saturday May 13, 2023.

The gesture was to thank God for protection her life to win the premaries and also seek God’s guidance and protection for her and the constituents as they are preparing to into the 2024 general elections.
The event, which was held at the St Francis Preparation School in Nungua brought together Ministers of the gospel from different churches, chiefs, and opinion leaders as well as constituency executives and supporters of the NDC and school children in the area.

The party constituency executives and supporters joined their MP at Thanksgiving  service held on Sunday June 4, 2023 where they sang and danced to the Glory of God for seeing them through the elections and granting them victory.
 
Honourable Lartey called on the executives to be more faithful than before and work much harder towards doing more for the people of Krowor constituency in the next four years.

 
According to her, victory for her and that of the flagbearer of the NDC, former President John Dramani is from a dint of hard work and service to the delegates, sympathizers, cadres, supporters and loyalists of the NDC.
 
She also thanked the constituents for reposing confidence in her and voting massively for her and the former President Dramani Mahama.
 
The incumbent MP mentioned the works by the rank and file of the party in the constituency and her campaign team members, coordinators, and polling station executives, and appreciated them for their unflinching support.

According to her, she went into the parliamentary candidate primaries with great confidence of winning the race taking into consideration the good works and projects which had undertaken to improve the lives of the constituents, particularly the ranks and files of the NDC in the area.
 
She has therefore assured the people of more developments in the area under her service in the next four years.
Sounded religious, Honourable Lartey also thanked God for his guidance and protection for the peaceful conduct of the election in the area.
"I would like to use opportunity to entreat you all to make God as part of your daily activities. Everyday once you wake up from the bed it is good to thank God for keeping your alive and giving you a good health," she entreated.

"...So today having gone through all the stages in electing our representatives for parliament and presidential, we have decided to come together at the St Francis Preparation School at Nungu to hold a massive thanksgiving service aimed at giving our appreciation to Almighty God for the guidance and protection of our lives as we went through these internal elections successfully.
"We have gathered here today to show our appreciation to God for his good job done to us, giving that this Thanksgiving will open door for us to win the political power from the NPP in the 2024 general election," she assured.
She noted that the preparations to retain the seat for the NDC have started long ago, with the decision taken by the leadership of the NDC to hold internal branch executives, constituency executive, coordinators and eventually the regional executives and national executives internal elections."
He have also embarked on the branch reorganisation drive, adding that they are still embarking on the branch re-organisational campaigns to reach out to the larger populace, stressing that the above mentioned elections were part of the preparations of the party in the constituency geared towards the 2024 general elections.
She mantained that "So these processes should tell you that by the grace of God we have successfully went through all these stages which are clear indications that the supporters and members of the NDC are poised for the victory in the 2024 general election.
She indicated that "we are asking for uniting within the ranks and files of the NDC to help them achieve these objectives of winning the seat and political power from the failed NPP to restore the economic crises in the country.
She maintained that it is mere victory that they are battle to win but the political victory that would be sounding that is what we are in the NDC are asking from the Lord Almighty God."
"We in the NDC know that Ghanaians are looking at us to win the 2024 general election as the next alternative political party because the NPP has failed Ghanaians, and that they are looking at the NDC to win political power to safeguard the situation because Ghanaians know that the NDC had the heart and capacity to develop the country to make a better place to stay to do businesses," the NDC female MP explained.
"We are ready to win the political power in the 2024 polls to ensure that we save the lives of Ghanaians from their current bad economic situation under the administration of the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo," she further assured.
She was of the view that she can assured that we are ready for the 2024 polls to win the power from the NPP.
When asked how do she rate her performance as the MP of the area, she responded that she can rate herself a higher percentage.
According to her, she has been performing well by lobbying for the bringing of the needed social and infrastructure intervention development projects and programmes to the Kronor Constituency.
"My good works and performance, you can see from the people here that it is not the rating that l would be but if you can hear the the human sounds from the people gathering here and that was the rating of of  performance as the MP," she explained.
She indicated that rating of her performance so far it is only in the percentages but in the lives of the constituents.
She noted that the transformation of the lives of people in the construction which generally rates her higher.
"And the Lord has also made me that whenever l need to make sure l stay above the Lord himself granted it onto me. And that it is enough percentage to excel above 2020 general elections and marks that were involved, and l know this time round the resounding victory is assured at both parliamentary and the presidential levels," she assured rank and file of the NDC.
The NP advised the youth to take their schooling seriously so that they could become good leaders in future.
As part of the event, the MP performed the cutting of a cake by way of seeking God protection and guidance to retain the parliamentary seat for the NDC in the 2024 general elections.
