My biggest challenge now, is working with Akufo-Addo – Bawumia

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says his biggest challenge as a Vice President is working with President Akufo-Addo.

According to Dr Bawumia, President Akufo-Addo is a workaholic and ‘demanding’, making it a lot tougher in keeping up with the pace.

He noted that, the president always wants things to be done quickly to enable him to fulfil his promise of delivering ‘a better Ghana’.

Dr Bawumia made these remarks, speaking on Peace FM's Kokorokoo on August 25.

"As Vice, my biggest challenge is I have a boss who wants things to be done in a hurry. He is a workaholic, he is demanding and very strong. You can't relax, you have to keep going because the government is very large. He wants things to be delivered quickly but I realized that in government things does not move quickly as expected"

Dr Bawumia on the show said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has not eliminated hardship in Ghana but has reduced it significantly.

He said what the NPP has done to reduced hardship in Ghana better than what the NDC did when they were in power.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the recent Manifesto launch of the NPP said the Akufo-Addo led governement  has achieved 80 percent of promises made during their 3-year stay in government.

He promised that, when given the mandate, the NPP government will do more to foster the progress of the country.

“We have chocked success in our 3 years in power. We have over 300 achivements in three years. So when you read our manifesto you will see we have fulfiled at least 80 percent of our promises and that is massive for any government in just 3 years. Sector by sector you will realised we have performed much much better than the NDC government.
